Important: Up to August 22, you will be able to update your game... that means that effectively, there are 7 more available days to complete it. Be sure to have something working for Sunday 17 at midnight, though English speakers: pretty much all of us can read and write in english. Do not be frightened by seeing spanish everywhere else . Rules1) From beginning to end, the whole game must happen on the same "level". You can't scroll or zoom. 2) It must have at least some element from a CRPG (Computer Role Play Game). 3) The game must have been made for this contest. You can use engines or libraries previously developed. At all times, the game is 100% yours. 4) Must run at least on Windows XP/Vista. Why is CODEAR running a genre game contest? Many of us approached this industry with the fantasy of making an RPG. Unfortunately, this genre demands a lot of content and effort, which makes it very tough for a hobbist. And commercial RPGs in which we can work in the corporate world are often far away from what our fantasies look like. This contest is an opportunity to accomplish that fantasy on a small scale, together with other like-minded people! How to Participate- Create a thread in this forum with the name of the game.
- Whenever you have something to try out, post a link on the first message of that thread.
- Whenever you can have a screenshot, also post it, on the first message. And exclude the window frame.
- The deadline is: August 15.
Help- You can create and destroy objects or even the level itself. Switching levels in any form is the only restriction.
- Use common sense to define "RPG elements".
- 3D games must have a static camera (and world).
- You can bend the rules a bit, but ask first.
- Questions are made in this thread.
- There are no monetary prizes... it's for the honor!.
- There will be a public voting.
- People from countries other than Argentina *can* participate without restrictions.

Actually I have another one xD The concept of my game involves something like an arena-type area but i've tought in including some changing elements to balance lack of scrolling the game like a tornado appears in a part of the game or a fireball / meteor turns the background on fire and ruins and stuff like that. Is that allow? technically i'm not really changing the scenario lol

Fox, The restriction is conceptual... you can't, conceptually, have multiple levels, regardless of the technicalities of the transition. You can alter the current level as much as you want, as long as the game is perceived to be on the same "map". Conceptually speaking.
